ABOUT ME
Since working in public school education for fifteen years, I have been blessed to support the district in many different ways. I started my career in teaching art and working closely with the principal and her administration team opening an elementary school in 2010. From there, I went on to become the librarian at a middle school campus. After two years at the middle school campus, I landed the coveted job as one of the two campus librarians at Dickinson High School. Shortly thereafter, I was granted the position of District Lead Librarian over secondary campuses. During COVID, Dickinson ISD added Technology Liaisons at each campus, which I served my last year at Dickinson High School. With my librarian and technology experience, I advanced into a district-level Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) position in the summer of 2022 where I supported all secondary campuses within the district. After two years as a TIS, I was promoted to the Coordinator of Digital Learning and Instructional Materials. In this role, I work closely with curriculum specialists to create content that is shared district-wide through our learning management system (LMS). Additionally, I manage accounts and purchases paid for with the Instructional Materials and Technology Allotment (IMTA), which are funds provided from the state. I take great pride in my work and strive to fully support campuses, teachers, and students.Â
